Roof washing is done on a harness and a lifeline, with the petrol pressure unit taken up with the crew. Nobody stretches a lance off a ladder, and nobody stands on your roof unclipped.

Four things a quote turns on.

01Roofs are height workWe wash roofs on fall-arrest harnesses and safety lines. A roof wash is not a long lance from a ladder and should not be priced as one.

02Cladding is not concreteCharcoal composite panels, louvred screens and painted render each take a different pressure, and we wash all three differently.

03Big flat areas get the rotaryA petrol rotary surface cleaner on a forecourt or car park, rather than working the whole area over with a wand.

04It is quoted on siteAccess, height, surface and drainage all change the number, and none of them is visible from a phone call.

How a wash runs

The pressure is set for the surface, not the other way round.

Step 01

Say what the surface is

Concrete, pavers, painted render, composite cladding or roof sheeting. Ring or email with where it is and what is growing on it.

Step 02

We look before we quote

Access, height, surface and drainage get checked on site, so the number covers where the wash-down water goes as well as the washing.

Step 03

The wash

Our own petrol units, the rotary cleaner on the big flat areas, harnesses and lines on the roof, and the pressure wound back before it touches anything painted.
