Do I need to be there for an end of lease clean in Canberra?
No. Tell our office who holds the key, and we collect it and return it when the clean is done, so you do not need to be at the property on the day.
How the key moves
The key is part of the booking. You might still hold it, or the agent might. Either way, our crew picks it up before the clean, and it goes back once the house is done.
So yeah, and we collect the key, we go through all the hassle that they don't have to.
- 1
You ring our office with the date
The day you move out and the day the agent inspects.
- 2
You tell us who holds the key
We arrange to collect it from that person.
- 3
Our crew cleans to the inclusions list
Plus any extras and carpet you added when you priced it.
- 4
The key goes back when the clean is done
After that the property is ready for the agent.
You can be at work or at the new place while it happens.
What happens while you are away
Our crew works through the inclusions list room by room. In the kitchen that means the benches and splashbacks, the stove and rangehood, and the cupboards and drawers inside and out. The bathroom and laundry get their shower screens, toilet and plugholes, down to the clothes dryer filter.
The price is fixed before the day, set by bedrooms and bathrooms, from $445 plus GST for a one bedroom, one bathroom flat. Nothing about the price depends on you being there.
The agent inspects on the agent's schedule
The final inspection happens on the agent's schedule, after the clean. Say the inspection date when you ring, and book once you know the day the house will be empty.
If the property fails the inspection
If the property fails its final inspection, ring our office. We come back within seven days and put it right, at no charge.
This applies to the end of lease clean. The fixed price, the extras and carpet are all priced before the clean on the end of tenancy page, and the bond clean price guide walks through the rate card.
What to tell us when you ring
- The date the house will be empty, and the inspection date.
- Who holds the key.
- The bedrooms and bathrooms, and any extras such as a double storey or the inside of the oven.
- Whether you want the carpet steam cleaned, and which rooms are carpeted.
If a pet has lived in the property, ask the agent whether they want a flea treatment before you ring. The carpet and rug page has how carpet and flea treatment are priced.
