Blue Cleaning Group / Construction / Handover cleans

Handover

The clean that the certifier sees.

A builders clean is judged by somebody opening a cabinet and running a finger along a track. That is what our crews are looking at.

What a handover clean covers

Floors by machine. Glass, joinery and detail by hand.

Our cleaners hold White Cards and are trained in asbestos and silica awareness. They come onto your site with the scrubbers, extractors and lifts the job needs.

The floors

  • Ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers
  • Rotary machines on hard floors
  • Squeegee and extraction on wet slabs
  • Ride-on sweeper on decks and car parks

The detail

  • Internal glass, both faces
  • Window tracks, frames and sills
  • Joinery interiors, drawers and cabinets
  • Skirtings, edges and door furniture

A slab at handover carries whatever the trades left on it: plaster dust, slurry, and the film that only comes off under a machine. That is scrubber and extractor work. The joinery, tracks and glass are hand work, and they are what the walkthrough opens first.

How a handover runs

Booked backwards from the inspection.

Step 01

Tell us the inspection date

The date the certifier or the client walks, the floor area, and where the trades are up to. The clean is planned back from that date.

Step 02

We walk the site before we price

We come out and walk it with you, so the price stands and the crew arrives already knowing the building and what is still to finish around them.

Step 03

We clean it, then check it

Floors by machine, glass, joinery and detail by hand, checked the way the walkthrough will check it: cabinets open, tracks and edges. If anything needs further attention, we return to address it.

Tell us the inspection date.

We book a handover clean backwards from the date the certifier is coming.
