How does DVA and NDIS cleaning work in Canberra?
We run our regular house clean on the DVA rate at $159.80 plus GST for the first 2 hours, or on the NDIS rate at $120.20 for the first 2 hours with no GST. The clean itself is the one every regular house on our books gets, with one cleaner rostered to the house.
What each rate costs
The rate you are on changes the price of the hours. The visit stays the same: the same cleaner, the same weekday, the same time, and the chemicals and equipment brought in with them.

Every visit runs at least 2 hours. Weekly and fortnightly visits are charged on the same hourly figure, so choose the interval that suits the house. Past the first 2 hours, each extra hour is charged at the hourly figure for your rate. The standard rate is the one on our house cleaning page, for a household paying privately.
Why the NDIS rate has no GST
The NDIS rate is paid through government funding, so no GST goes on top of it. The DVA rate and the standard rate both carry GST. Our owner put it in one line when we were setting up the calculators.
NDIS because it's government funding they don't charge a GST.
Who decides if you are eligible
Eligibility is between you and DVA, or you and the NDIS. We clean the house on whichever rate applies to you. If you are not sure, ring our office with the question and we can tell you who to ask.
Ringing for a parent or a friend
If you are arranging cleaning for your mum, your dad or a friend, ring on their behalf. Tell us whose house it is, the suburb, and what they are finding hard to keep up with now.
On the first visit our cleaner talks through what matters most with the person living there, so the hours go to those rooms first. If the booked hours will not cover the whole house, they decide what comes first and the cleaner works down from there.

We roster one cleaner to the house
Our cleaners are employed by us. The one we roster comes back on the same weekday at the same time.

The cleaner arrives with the kit
Chemicals and equipment come with them, so the house supplies nothing.
If the house needs a heavier going over before the regular visits start, a spring or one-off clean is booked by the hour. We clean across Canberra and Queanbeyan.
